War Veteran Award

Thomas Russell, Painter, South Cumbernauld, who won the Croix de Guerre for his good work in the war, was on Saturday week presented with his decoration at Maryhill. He has also a bar to the award. A member of the 2nd H.L.I. he saved the life of his officer. He was out in the war for 4 1/2 years, and has the Mons Star and Allied Ribbon. Mr Russell has just commenced business as a painter and decorator in the district, and resides at Glenhove Cottage, South Cumbernauld.
